I think we waste a lot of time. I know I spend countless minutes everyday on my phone. There is no solid reason to be on my phone other than that it has become an impulse to my being. I feel everyone does this; some more than others. It’s our time which we can not get back. We all have things which we could be doing, but we do not. Why do we avoid doing the things we know would bring us much joy? It is easier to reside at the homestead and fool around on the phone; is it because we know that it is a possibility? Or is it that we are just straight up too scared to act in our own best interests?
For me, I have to dig into my soul to find an answer to what else I could be doing other than being on my phone. It requires asking yourself the question and not the internet. If we become too relied on the external compass than we never get to tune into our internal compass.
The point of this writing is not too illustrate how damaging phones are to our health, but to point out how much precious time we waste. Though our time on this Earth can be more than the specs of sand that fill a desert; our hearts can only beat for sooo long. We are not immortal, we can not do whatever we want with our time. By the time we were born our timer to our death started. Yet, we live life soo recklessly, avoiding the notion that time is precious. Our attention is our most important currency. Why waste your time to waste it away when you could do something with your time?
One does not have to do anything grand with their time. The simple notion of time is enough to make sure that you do not waste it, but enjoy it. Many enjoy their time by sightseeing. Some by simply sitting on a park bench. Time can be shared. Sharing time is a sacred act. Though, we may be born again in another body and exist infinitely through time; we only have so much time in this body and in this timeline. There are still people who need help. There will still be people who need to wake up from their delusions. People who need to see what’s inside of themselves.
