“When you cease to dream you cease to live.” – Malcom Forbes

Embrace dreams to combat hopelessness and explore future possibilities.

Why do we give up on our dreams? Is it because the world already has solutions to our problems? Or is it because we simply can not imagine that we can bring anything worthwhile into the world? The list of reasons can go on and on. I see many who have given up on trying to see the world for what it is not. What it is not is essentially what the world could be. What the world could be is bold dreams coming into reality.

The world is a lot more broad than the narrow lens we usually look upon ‘it’ with. There is more to see even than we can imagine. Exploring, seeing, experiencing must be done. We have consciousness to use it. Adam ate the apple and we became cursed with consciousness. Instead of resenting our abilities we shall embrace our capacity. To dream is not to be forsaken, but rather to be hopeful that maybe one day you’ll get to touch the impossible.

We do get to!

I feel our world has abandoned hope. It retreats into certainty, to whatever is in front of our faces. Everyone is gripping onto a quagmire of the present as if that is all there is just to realize they have been holding onto the past. Mirages. There is a quote that sums up a lot of the population goes through, “Whoever controls past controls the future. Whoever controls the present controls the past.” – Rage Against The Machine. Attached to the quote I have some morbid yet undeniable questions that the populace should ask themselves: When did we stop caring about our future? Why does no-one want to talk about where we are heading? When did we stop caring for our future family tree to only care about ourselves? When did we start fearing death more than becoming a slave to our matrix’s? Everyone acts as if it is taboo to investigate the future. Yet, why do we deny the work we have to do instead of embracing it?

I have sooo many questions about our generation. Perhaps, the same can be said of individuals in all generations. History points to that clearly. The fear of the future placed upon our souls from outside or internal sources is depriving all people’s from taking one step closer to their dreams. We settle for instant gratification not realizing there is more than what meets the eyes, heart, and mind. Realities of abundance and just general goodness not yet realized. Dreaming is ultimately an individual task. Though, collective dreams do exist. When people’s stop dreaming settling happens, and the risk of hopelessness of ‘The Dream Happening’ starts anchoring in your soul.

Everyone’s answers for the future will follow with a question, nothing is concrete, yet everyone is acting like it is. Even mountains more through time. So do we.
