Hello! Thank you for stumbling upon my blog. I have not done this before but feel called to compose a free write. If you have found this blog post, then good! I do not believe that you are here on mere coincidence. The words you are stumbling upon are probably exactly what you need to hear. Though, I give you no guarantee that I know what I am about to type. Only that I will type the closest words in which is akin to heaven (not saying I know what decorations of heaven or anything). Let’s write!
The season I am in is Winter. The steady sight of the snow moves me. Why? Well I do not know truly why. White is resemblances of renewal. The snow can be a reminder. The snow is cold though. It’s funny that the new/renewal is a process that is formed only when it is cold outside. That the reminder is in the figure of snow. In modern society, renewal is something like a massage or a good day off from work. Perhaps even something like attending a buffet or any nice restaurant. Any one person can have a different form of what they would call ‘renewing themselves’. So why the snow?
The concept of starting something is creation from nothing. Nothing would be akin to a blank canvas or an empty document. A canvas is white before the painter decides to transform the white canvas into a beautiful landscape of the Rocky Mountains. Such the same as the aspiring author who turns 300 blank pages into 300 pages of crafted words. The snow is simply the same thing. The snow is nature’s way of saying it needs a reset. That from its own renewal life can emerge from. Life in nature includes not only the trees, lakes, animals, and mountains, but also us-human beings. The Winter is the way Earth can have its renewal. The process is essentially giving life a rest so that it can re-emerge anew. Snow is essentially the facilitator of ‘renewal’!
Still after what is said above, why snow? Perhaps a better question is why does snow move me? I suppose the reason snow moves me so much is because I know I will get to start something. What I mean by start something is to create. Creation is something I hold dear (obviously because I have this blog page). Humor aside though, creation is the ability to reinvent yourself and to do so wisely. Such as acquiring knowledge through philosophy, conversations with family or friends, and learning from the stillness of nature itself. The potential any Winter posses is well…. a lot; because creations only limit is the creator itself. Though, I have a question for you as the reader. What do you see when Winter arrives? Answer in any way you see fit.
There is much folk lore on why the world is the way it is. One tribe will say this and another tribe will say that. A tree can have 9 different interpretations while the wind could have 7. Even more so with modern lore. The lore behind Jeff Bezos must be in the 1000s by now. Needless to say the true essence of what said ‘object’ is has always been many. The world can be only understood by the meaning/clarity you give to the said ‘object’ of the world. I dare you to challenge your own understandings of what you say something is. Not to say you are wrong for believing, but to reflect and elevate. To bring yourself to that next level in understanding the world which is ultimately yourself. To be like the Earth on how it even takes a rest during Winter seasons to only let last what will live (as so to speak), so that it can fully flourish for the sunny seasons to come.
Thank you for reading this far. Thank you for being here. This free write did not go as I expected but landed where it needed to go. There is valuable lesson in the words above that even I need to take into reflection. I hope to do more free writes. There is much to always talk about! Until next time, take care.
